Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am pleased to have the opportunity to address a few words to you at the opening of this meeting, at such an important moment for the life of the country.
The adoption of the National Pact for Stability and the Organization of Elections constitutes an important step in the current phase of the transition.
I welcome the presence of representatives of political parties, whether signatories to the National Pact or not, as well as the participation of the Government. Your presence reflects the importance of seeking common solutions for the future of Haiti.
This meeting provides a useful space to exchange on the challenges that remain to be addressed. It also allows us to reflect together on concrete ways to advance the priorities of the transition, in a spirit of shared responsibility.
I hope that this meeting will contribute to a better understanding of everyone’s expectations and to strengthening inter-Haitian dialogue. I also emphasize the importance of the participation of the different components of Haitian society.
This requires collective efforts and renewed commitment to stability, security, and the restoration of democratic governance.
I regret that I cannot be with you this time, but I hope to have the opportunity to participate in future meetings.
Thank you, and I wish you fruitful discussions.
