18 Feb 2020 - Port-Au-Prince, 18 February 2020.- A UN report on gang violence in Port-au-Prince has found that the Haitian authorities failed to adequately protect residents of a poor neighbourhood of the capital.
11 Jan 2020 - On this day, we remember the hundreds of thousands of Haitians who lost their lives and the millions gravely affected by the devastating earthquake that struck their country ten years ago.
We also honour the memory of one hundred and two United Nations colleagues lost that same day.
I will never forget the shock and sadness across the United Nations as we became aware of the scale of the tragedy.
10 Jan 2020 - This Sunday marks the tenth anniversary of the earthquake that devastated Haiti. The United Nations family in Haiti pays tribute to the more than 200,000 victims, including 102 United Nations personnel who perished while performing their duties. We honour their memories. Let us never forget their lives.
We also pay homage to the countless wounded and over 1.5 million displaced. Their resilience over the past decade is a tribute to the strength and fortitude of the Haitian people.

He will also serve as the United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Haiti.
