The airbridge will ensure the seamless delivery of humanitarian aid and support services to Haiti, and facilitate the movement of our personnel in and out of the country.

  • 28 Nov 2023 - GENEVA/PORT-AU-PRINCE (28 November 2023) - A new UN report out today details a further, shocking rise in gang violence in Haiti as criminal gangs forge alliances and expand to rural areas previously considered safe– killing, raping, kidnapping, and destroying property, among other abuses. 
  • 23 Nov 2023 - H.E Mr. Francis and his delegation were received in Port-au-Prince by the country’s Prime Minister, H.E. Mr. Ariel Henry, the Permanent Representative of Haiti to the United Nations, H.E. Mr. Antonio Rodrigue, and members of the Haitian Government. President Francis met with representatives of political parties, civil society, UN officials and visited a primary school.
  • 02 Oct 2023 - Port-au-Prince, October 2, 2023 The Security Council just voted to approve the deployment of a Multinational Security Support mission in Haiti. This is a positive and decisive step to bring peace and stability to the country.
  • 11 May 2023 - The members of the Security Council were briefed on 26 April 2023 by the Director General of the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Ghada Fathi Waly, and the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and new head of the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH), María Isabel Salvador, on the situation in Haiti.
